Paper Suitcase Tutorial (No Template / SVG File / Special Tools Needed)



The size of this paper suitcase is 5.5" x 7.5".

Materials & Tools:
- Cardstock (I use 280 gsm cardstock)
- Pattern Papers
- Adhesive (I use wet glue because double sided tape is not friendly to me lol)
- Embellishments
- Scissors
- Trim & score board (if you don't have this, you can use ruler and empty pen to score)

Measurements of cardstock:
- 2 pcs of 9.5" x 11.5" and score at 2" on all side
- 2 pcs of 1" x 11" for the back straps (adhere the pattern papers first and then score at 5.5" and 7.5")
- 2 pcs of 1" x 7.5" for the front straps
- 1 pc of 1" x 6" for the handle (adhere the pattern papers first and then score at 1" and 5")
- 2 pcs of 1" x 2" for buckles

Measurements of pattern papers:
- 4 pcs of 5 3/8" x 7 3/8"
- 8 pcs of 1 7/8" x 5 3/8" (I use 2 patterns so there are 4 pcs for outside the box and 4 pcs for inside the box)
- 6 pcs of 1 7/8" x 7 3/8" (I use 2 patterns so there are 3 pcs for outside the box and 3 pcs for inside the box)
- 2 pcs of 7/8" x 10 7/8" for the back straps
- 2 pcs of 7/8" x 7 3/8" for the front straps
- 1 pc of 7/8" x 5 7/8" for handle
- 2 pcs of 7/8" x 1 7/8" for buckles
- 6 pcs of 2 1/4" circle for suitcase corner

Products used:
- Local Kraft Cardstock 280 gsm
- FD1004304 double sided scapbook paper by Fleur Design
- FD1004303 double sided scrapbook paper by Fleur Design
- FD1003703 double sided scrapbook paper by Fleur Design

STEP BY STEP:
1. Score at 2" on all side for 2 pcs of 9.5" x 11.5" cardstock and fold all score lines.
2. Trim 1 score line in each square corner for 1 pc of 9.5 " x 11.5" that was already scored and folded. Adhere the corners to rectangle.
3. Cut 2 square corners in 1 longer rectangle side for the second piece of 9.5" x 11.5". Adhere 2 square corners left to rectangle.
4. Adhere the rectangle with no corners of the second piece to inside rectangle in the first piece of 9.5" x 11.5".
5. Mat the box using the pattern papers.
